Practice/Game Times: Typically, practices are once or twice per week during the weeknights at 6:00 pm or 7:30 pm, with games on Saturday in the morning or early afternoon and an occasional weeknight game. Depending on the coach, there may be a practice during the daytime Saturday or Sunday but that is not as common. Exact schedules will not be set until after teams are announced in mid-January.
Volunteer Requirement/Opt-out Volunteer Fee:
For the Spring 2020 season, CPSA will have a new volunteer requirement. Each family will be required to complete at least 6 volunteer hours during the season or they may opt out by paying a one time volunteer fee of $25 at the time of registration. If you are applying to volunteer as a team manager, coach, or team parent, please select all options that apply on the volunteer requirement drop down menu and be sure to apply/register in the Sports Sign Up Play system at the same time that you register your player(s) if possible. Parents that serve in these positions throughout the Spring Season will easily meet the 6 hour requirement. Other volunteer opportunities include: Scorekeeper (running the scoreboard), Book Keeper (keeping the official scorebook), Park Clean Up Day (Approx. 2 Hours per volunteer), Pre-Game Field Prep/Field Maintenance, Special Events Committee, Fundraising Committee, Sponsorships Committee, and Park Improvements (Painting, Landscaping, etc…) You must select at least one volunteer opportunity that you or a member of your family are interested in next season or select the $25 opt out option. There is also an option to volunteer and donate your $25 to the park if you choose to do so. If you do not chose the $25 opt out option and a member(s) of your family does not complete at least 6 volunteer hours throughout the season, you will be assessed a $25 fee to your account.
